How much smokeable marijuana will my cannabis plants produce?

While yield can depend on several factors, beginners can expect to produce 1-2 ounces of smokeable buds from their first cannabis plant. Expert growers with large setups can produce between 1-2 pounds of cannabis buds from a single plant.

Will my cannabis plants smell?

In the  vegetative phase your plants will give off a mild, sweet smell - sort of like a basil plant! As they start to flower, your cannabis plants will give off a stronger fragrance more along the lines of the smell typically associated with marijuana. With just two plants, this aroma shouldn’t be overpowering, but without ventilation will be detectable by others.

How long will it take for my plants to produce buds that are ready for harvest?

Typically it takes between 3-4 months from the date you sprout your seed to your first smokeable harvest.

Find a place where you can hang your light that can provide total darkness when your grow light is turned off - this is essential for the flowering phase. Closets, basements, and spare rooms with blacked-out windows work great.
